Brand Information
The origins of Talasey Ltd are founded in the history of its leading product brand, Natural Paving, which was established in 2004. Natural Paving (UK) Ltd became established after identifying a gap in the market for high quality, ethically sourced natural stone to the domestic landscaping market. Taking an early lead in this field the company quickly began supplying to Builders Merchants and Contractors UK wide.
Natural Paving's commitment to excellent quality and customer service has led to Natural Paving's current ranking as the number one independent supplier of natural stone to the UK landscaping industry, with full UK coverage, activities in Europe and a sister company in America, Natural Paving USA.
As Natural Paving grew, new product brands evolved with Pavetuf (2013), Vitripiazza (2014), Baksteen (2015), Luxigraze (2017) and Resiscape (2017). With such a diverse range of landscaping products Natural Paving was no longer the right 'umbrella' brand to encompass such an impressive array product brands and so the Talasey Ltd came into effect in 2017, as distributors of all the afore mentioned product brands, truly 'changing our landscape'
CE Marking and Declarations of Performance
Following an extensive and rigorous testing process in 2013, the complete Natural Paving range of flagstones, block paving, walling and accessories is fully accredited with CE Marking and come with official Declarations of Performance (DOPs). The tests were completed as part of the transition to the new Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which came into force on 1st July 2013 and requires that all products covered by a Harmonised European Standard (hEN) or European Technical Assessment (ETA) carry CE Marking to state their performance characteristics.
Material Information
Granite Description:
Granite is a coarse-grained igneous (volcanic) rock that forms from the slow crystallisation of magma deep within the earth's crust. It is composed of minerals such as feldspar, quartz, and mica, and is characterised by its speckled or mottled appearance, with small crystals embedded in a larger matrix. Granite is a very hard wearing stone and tends to have a sparkle in sunlight due to the crystals formed during the volcanic heating and then cooling period. Granite is a popular choice for paving due to its durability, strength, and attractive appearance. It is often used for outdoor surfaces such as driveways, walkways, and patios and is often found as paving slabs, driveway blocks, cobble setts, walling and wall cladding. The surface is flat and even, but is either bush hammered or flame textured to offer a non slip surface. It is often suited to contemporary style garden designs. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, granite paving is also functional and practical. The non-slip surface provides a safe and secure footing, while the strength and durability of the material make it resistant to weathering and fading.
Care should be taken when laying granite paving to lay it with the textured face uppermost. The underside is often smooth in appearance, but quite matte in finish with occasional machining marks. It is not only unsightly to lay paving with the underside uppermost, but also, will not meet the necessary slip resistance qualities of the material when used as paving.
Granite Colours:
From the deepest shades of black to the lightest hues of pink, yellow and silver, granite offers a wide range of colours to suit any design preference. Each piece of granite has its own unique flecked pattern and colour variations, making it a one-of-a-kind choice for paving.
Black and charcoal granite - the range of darker shades of granite offer a sleek and modern look that is perfect for contemporary designs. These colours create a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that can be used to make a bold statement.
Pink granite - the lighter, pink coloured shades of granite combine with flecks of silver and grey create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for traditional and rustic designs.
Buff granite - the buff tones of granite offer a mix of light yellow tones combined with silver, white and grey to offer a warm, ambient finish and a clean appearance associated with the typical modern design of granite paving.
Silver grey granite - creates a modern utilitarian appearance with its white and silver flecks that sparkle in sunlight. This colour works well when combined with black basalt paving.
Blue grey granite - adds a mystical warmth and a subtle mid-toned background colour to your garden patio with rich blue-grey shades combined with subtle flecks of silver and dark grey.
Combining contrasting colours of granite such as silver grey and black basalt makes a striking and unique design choice and a modern stylish finish. The contrasting colours and patterns create a visual interest that can be used to draw the eye and create a focal point. The speckled or mottled appearance of granite adds depth and dimension to the surface, creating a stunning and natural beauty that is sure to impress.
Compared to other natural stone materials, granite has relatively even colouring albeit with flecks of colour highlighting the mineral content. Whether you choose a dark and modern shade or a light and traditional hue, granite offers a stunning and versatile option for paving that is both beautiful and functional.
Natural Stone Characteristics:
All natural stone products are unique and will vary in colour and texture, often showing distinctive markings, minor imperfections and may include mineral deposits such as iron and quartzite. Sizes are nominal and may vary and there may be dimensional tolerances affecting size and thickness in accordance with British Standards. Some paving manufacturers include the pointing allowance in the individual slab sizes whereas others include the pointing allowance in the overall pack coverage. The product images shown are as accurate as photographic processes allow and may appear differently in accordance with lighting conditions and screen calibration in addition to the natural variation occurring between batches. Images may not be a true representation of a particular product size, use or laying pattern.
