MeadowMat Traditional
Product Description
MeadowMat Traditional contains a whopping 34 different species of native British wild flowers and grasses. This colourful mix gives a nice balance of colours and textures, providing a rich source of pollen and nectar for a wide range of insects. In the summertime, the tall plants will gently sway in the breeze bringing movement to your garden. Allow plants to grow and flower unchecked throughout the spring and summer and then cut back when flowering finishes- usually around August. Mow periodically in Autumn and Winter to keep it neat. Never cut to below 4".
Remember though - this is a natural product, the seeds are sown randomly and will germinate in their own time - We can't promise that every piece of Meadowmat will contain every species in the seed mix.
30% of the seedmix by weight consists of wild grasses; These shade the ground from heat and provide a safe place for minibeasts to feed, shelter and overwinter.
Sheeps Fescue, Slender creeping red fescue, Crested dogstail, Small leaved timothy
